Cyber - Criminals Targeting Freelancers

Freelancers are the easy targets to cyber-criminals says Cisco. Their report warns them about work-from-home projects.

Cisco’s 2010 Annual Security Report has been released recently. This report warns that cyber criminals are targeting the unemployed with fraudulent schemes disguised as freelance jobs. It also says that these criminals have stolen financial account information and to convert them as cash they use unemployed people as ‘money mules’.

Freelancer.com Took Over EU Freelance

Freelancer.com has announced that they have took over EU Freelance and got worldwide platform for Freelancer.com.

EU Freelancer is a euro oriented freelancer market place that serves European Union with 1,25,000 users. It is a independent marketplace and it is getting closed on February 25, 2011. Now Freelancer.com has announced that they had migrated the user base of EU Freelance to Freelancer.com and the users can transact in euros.

Freelancers Lead A Happy Life Survey Shows

According to a new report, freelancers are found to be work happier than their permanently employed counterparts.

A recruitment firm called people4business has recently conducted a survey about freelancers and permanently employed people. This survey says that 20 percent of freelancers are “blissfully happy”. It also reveals that 86 percent of workers who switched to freelancing feel that their overall mood and business outlook have improved.
